What does 0% VAT mean for you?
Historically, air conditioning systems that have been installed into domestic properties has been 20% and then reduced to 5%.
However, in 2022, the UK government announce as part of its spring 2022 budget statement that such installations between 1st April 2022 and 31st March 2027 the rate of VAT that would be applied to domestic installs would be charged at 0%!
“From 1st April 2027, the rate of VAT charged will return to 5%.”
